After so much time, the packages for OpenGEU 8.10 Luna Serena have been released. They are stable and working and you can now easily install OpenGEU over any *Buntu Iintrepid system! Just follow the usual commands in the Wiki. If you are going to upgrade from your existing OpenGEU Luna Crescente system, I suggest you to be sure you have a completely updated system before continuing.
To safely upgrade your OpenGEU Luna Crescente system, please use our new OpenGEU updrade assistant! You can directly download it from our download page. For more informations, please read the Wiki.
Luna Serena is just a minor experimental version in the road to Quarto di Luna (OpenGEU 9.04), it is here just to let people with an Ubuntu Intrepid system try and use OpenGEU. Even if we don’t believe a Live CD is necessary for this version, it will be released in a matter of days. Then we’ll release the alpha version of Quarto di Luna for testers.
Luna Serena is a technology preview by many means. We introduced Echomorph in this release, our new 3D composite manager for Enlightenment! Basically, Compiz for E17! ;)
Luna Serena is filled with a lot of many more new toys for you to enjoy your system with even more joy and... serenity :)
A full changelog will be released together with the iso, in the wiki and in an announcement. If you followed the forum or the upgrades you already know what I’m talking about :)
