Are you surprised ;) ?
Here it comes a special version of OpenGEU dedicated to the Asus EeePC! Basically, mainly due to drivers problems, when you try to run OpenGEU, or even Ubuntu and any of its derivates, on an Asus EeePC, you get a system with no wireless card support, hotkeys not working, broken shutdown, no Overclock and even no sound. To fix this you have to manually download and run a dedicated script or two, created by the community, like
this one by the people from
eee.ricey.co.uk. Or you have to manually fix every single problem. And doing all of this with no wireless card and, therefore, no internet, believe me, is really a pain.
OpenGeeeU is nothing more than a standard OpenGEU including all of these fixes by default, for your convenience. Plus it also has some minor UI adjustments (slightly smaller fonts, because of the low resolution in the EeeePC series, etra on the bottom left and not on the bottom right corner of the screen, etc.). Don’t get it as yet another distribution, this is just your beloved OpenGEU for EeePC oweners to run it directly out of the box without any problem ;)
