Great news everybody, OpenGEU has established a partnership with TuxSoftware, a new place where every OpenGEU user will be able to browse for exciting new applications, often not available in the official repos or available in an outdated version, view some screenshots and ratings plus a full description... and directly install the application in the OS with a single click! You'll have a feeling like that of browsing the pages of a very updated online Software Magazine related to the Linux world, plus being available to instantly install yourself every application you'll see there! That's absolutely cool. A lot like Linspire's CNR but with less limitations, keeping your native distro's apt protocol and without the scary presence of proprietary software... that would cost you money ;)

When I started using Linux years ago I started with Linspire and CNR, I must say, was addicting. Well, TuxSoftware is even better and like in CNR apps are sorted in categories and sub-categories for your convenience, so your browsing exprerience will even be more pleasant :)

And all of this is still in Beta stage... though I ensure you it works great. Imagine what a great resource will it become in the future! We'll consider integrating it directly in OpenGEU if you permit ;)
